Hybrid Speaker M 520 F
Here is a speaker that is never shy and reserved – to the contrary, it has an explosive dynamic range that begs to be cranked up. Weighing in at 35 kg, the M 520 F is 1.15 m high and 0.5 m deep, thus having an immense capacity in terms of mass and volume. This capacity is put to optimal use thanks to the precise and inspired engineering from Teufel.
This floorstanding speaker contains two 2 x 160 mm carbon fibre woofers, a 25 mm neodymium tweeter and a side-firing 300 mm woofer. In this configuration, the front panel can be conveniently narrow even though the speaker has monumental bass response. The integrated bass driver functions purely as a subwoofer coupled at 80 Hz and driven by a separate 190 W amplifier. The universal connectors on the rear terminal allow the integrated active subwoofer to be connected to either the ‘Sub Out’ of an AV receiver or the speaker terminals of your stereo amplifier. In any case, this relieves your amplifier/receiver from bass duties and frees it up to concentrate more on the other frequency ranges.
Using the M 520 F, you will dramatically improve the bass response of your stereo system. In home theatre environments, you will effectively add two subwoofers to your system. A three-stage volume selector switch allows you to select how much bass is split between the subwoofer and tweeter/mid-range drivers and thus match the system to your listening environment. This active/passive construction is effective all the way down to 30 Hz and can generate breathtaking sound pressure levels as high as 105 dB/m!

Centre Speaker M 520 C
The M 520 C centre channel speaker is the perfect match for the M 520 F hybrid column speakers. The two 2 x 160 mm carbon fibre woofers with a metal phase plug and single 25 mm neodymium dome tweeter make this speaker identical to the front column speakers – with the exception of the subwoofer, which would be superfluous here.
This horizontal speaker is based on the THX standard and utilises a D’Appolito configuration for excellent sound dispersion so that speech remains highly intelligible even outside of the optimum listening position. With a high maximum power rating of 190 W, this centre channel speaker can also be used in larger rooms. You can always expect the sound quality to be clean and clear.

Pair Rear Speaker M 520 R
The M 520 R rounds out the Theater 5 system. This compact speaker handles the rear channels in a 5.1 surround system and adds a spatial quality to the sound field while maintaining precise definition of all rear channel signals.
By using the same drivers as the three front speakers – 160 mm carbon fibre woofer and 25 mm fabric dome tweeter – the surround sound of this system is highly balanced. The high maximum power rating of 140 W makes it safe to use even at high listening levels.
The connector panel conforms to CE standards and ensures that cables remain firmly fastened. The removable front grille allows you to choose between the ‘living room friendly’ and ‘hi-tech’ appearances.
