Surround sound from any source A ControlStation 2 internal matrix processes inbound stereo signals and distributes them to all five speakers and the subwoofer. The resulting sound is far better than conventional two-channel PC stereo sound. This feature can also be turned off using the ControlStation 2 "Pure" mode. Authentic Dolby Digital/dts 5.1 is rendered in its original form by the sound card. Remote control ControlStation 2 includes an infrared remote control which gives you easy wireless access to all of the essential functions of your sound system even when you aren't in front of your computer. The curved front ensures better sound radiation than previous conventional constructions.The acoustically transparent cover of the 9 x 9 centimetre sound marvel can be removed for “open” operation, but normally has a “floating” mounting: Benefits: Minimisation of edge reflections.
